Attending the Sportscasters LA workshop was one of the best decisions I made for my career. Mark and Justin are two amazing people that truly want to help and see you succeed. I've always loved learning from others that are already "doing it" and working in the field. And that is exactly what you get at the workshop. There is something to learn from every speaker. They offer industry insights, as well as the opportunity to chat with them on a personal level. All the speakers were once in our shoes, so they understand the fears and challenges we face as we are setting out on this journey. Their personal stories are uplifting and motivated me to continue working hard towards my dreams. The workshop offers such a positive atmosphere and learning environment to ask question and be critiqued. I've always believed in investing in myself and in my career. The workshop opened new doors, relationships and friendships. If sports broadcasting or hosting is what you want to do or even if you're not sure yet and have interest in it, you do not want to miss this opportunity. You will leave with a clearer idea of your own goals, an action plan and motivation to get after it! - Ailis Garcia, Host of DodgersNation.com
If you are serious about kick starting your career in the sports industry, then Sportscasters LA Workshop is a definite must attend. Not only will you have the chance to learn from professionals in the industry working for companies such as ESPN, ABC7 News and Fox Sports West but you will also get the opportunity to network and create relationships which is extremely important if you want to be successful. I attended Sportscasters LA in November 2013, started working with Lakers Nation in December and by March 2014 I was hired as a production assistant for the NFL Network. The knowledge and experience I gained from Sportscasters LA coupled with hard work and perseverance has put me on the right path and one step closer to achieving my career goals. - Christina Kaplan, Production Assistant for the NFL Network
